Environmental Activism Can Be Taken Too Far

Many environmentalists take environmentalism way too far and if you are an environmentalist, you are probably thinking, oh yah, here is another polluter trying to justify their dirty deeds, but that simply is not so. In fact, much of my early career was finding and implementing ways to control wash water run-off from car wash operations and many of the BMPs or Best Management Practices used in the industry nationwide are my work.

No this is not a bragging session - it is simply a reality. My comments about over kill in environmental regulations come from years of experience and rather than give you example after example of over burdensome environmental regulations, which do not really help the environment, let me refer you to a book that articulates these facts much better than I:

"Environmental Overkill - Whatever Happened to Common Sense?" by Dixy Lee Ray and Lou Guzzo - 1993.

This book discusses how environmentalists or causing more harm than good. How scientists distort fact to attain monies for research projects rather than to seek truth - How Hollywood and environmentalists have gotten together to embellish and sensationalize environmental issues that are non-existent.

As the Founder of a Think Tank, which often focuses on Environmental Solutions, it is readily apparent from various environmental movements that something is a miss and that something is the miss-use of environmental causes to assist one industry over another or to appease a voting block of squeaky wheels with some or too much political clout. I recommend this book, because I believe it will indeed clear up some things and make you think.
